Today, March 18, 2019, marks five years since Russia’s Constitutional Court ruled on the validity of Crimea’s “reunification” with Russia, and Russia’s President Putin signed the corresponding treaty formalizing the occupation under Russian law. FIDH condemns the occupation and demands the end of the crackdown on human rights.
