Extraterritorial Jurisdiction and the European Union

On the occasion of the commemoration of the Rwandan genocide, FIDH and REDRESS organise in Brussels on April 3, 2007 a conference entitled "Ensuring justice and accountability - How to hold Rwandese genocide suspects accountable in Europe" followed by a press conference. On this occasion, FIDH and REDRESS launched their report : "Fostering a European Approach to Accountability for Genocide, Crimes against Humanity, War Crimes and Torture - Extraterritorial Jurisdiction and the European Union". This report follows a conference organised by FIDH and REDRESS in Brussels on 20 and 21 November 2006 entitled "National and International Responses to Serious International Crimes: Fostering an EU Approach".
