Legislative elections will take place in Burma on November 8th. On this occasion, FIDH carried out the first-ever survey of the country’s political parties’ attitudes towards human rights issues: what would they do to improve media freedom? Would they abolish the death penalty? How would they guarantee ethnic and religious minority rights? And much more.
The findings of the survey are analysed in a report that will be presented in Rangoon on November 3rd during a press conference. The report is entitled : Half Empty: Burma’s political parties and their human rights commitments
