Solidarity with Amal, a young sudanese woman sentenced to death by stoning

Paris, 19 October 2022. International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH), its leagues and partners are launching an international campaign in support of a young Sudanese woman who is facing death by stoning. A petition has been published on Avaaz. FIDH is against all forms of death penalty, and acknowledges that stoning is one of the most monstrous form of it.

Açailândia, Paris — The International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) and Brazilian human rights and environmental group Justiça Nos Trilhos launch a campaign today alerting people around the world that they are unwittingly consuming mining and steel companies’ products that have, for over three decades, worsened the health and polluted the environment of people in the Piquiá de Baixo community in the Brazilian Amazon.

Mexico’s First Augmented Reality Memorial Pays Tribute to Victims of Crimes against Humanity

Paris, Mexico City, Guadalajara, San Cristóbal de las Casas – FIDH and CMDPDH present today the Virtual Memorial for the Fallen Student, an augmented reality experience designed to raise awareness about the serious problem of crimes against humanity committed in Mexico, particularly over the past decade. The interactive memorial pays tribute to victims of violence through a unique experience which comes to life for the viewer in real time.
