Joint Report – Human Rights Committee, Sixth Investigation Mexico
Joint report by the Mexican strategic human-rights litigation nonprofit organization IDHEAS, the Mexican Commission for the Defense and Promotion of Human Rights, and the International Federation of Human Rights FIDH. In this report for the Committee for Human Rights we argue that, in terms of Articles 2, 4, 6, 7, and 9 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, assassinations, forced disappearances, and torture have been perpetrated in Mexico, as much by federal government agents as by members of organized crime, in systematic and/or widespread patterns of violence, since December 2006 to the present date.
