On this occasion, Karim Lahidji, FIDH President, said:
"It was natural to welcome the Quartet here at FIDH headquarters for its very first press conference. First because the LTDH is a historic member of FIDH. But also because through this Prize, it is the whole of the Tunisian society, alongside which we have been mobilized for a decade, that was rewarded for its courage and its intelligence."
The Tunisian Quartet was represented by:
– Abdessattar Ben Moussa, President of Tunisian Human Rights League (FIDH member organisation)
– Samir Cheffi, Deputy Secretray General of UGTT
– Fadhel Mahfoudh, President of the Bar of Tunis
– Samir Majoul, Vice-President of UTICA
