Successful mobilisation for the freedom of Mohammed Smain
The former head of the Algerian League for the Defence of Human Rights (LADDH) in Relizane, Mohammed Smain, received a presidential pardon and was freed on 6 July 2012. He had been imprisoned on 19 June for “false accusation” and "denouncing imaginary crimes”.
