Sudan : The European Union and member states must urgently act at one year of conflict

12 months after war erupted between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on 15 April 2023, Sudan is facing one of the fastest unfolding crises globally. As the Foreign Affairs Council meets on Sudan on 22 April 2024, FIDH and its partners call on the European Union and its member states to take urgent, strategic and concrete steps to respond to the massive cost on civilians of the dramatic human rights and humanitarian crisis in the country and prevent further violations.
