In response to the recent legislative amendment adopted by the Greek Parliament temporarily suspending access to asylum for people arriving from North Africa, the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) and 71 other civil society organisations have united to denounce this unlawful measure. The statement calls for the immediate withdrawal of the provision and urges the European Commission to act swiftly to ensure compliance with European Union and international law.
