Joint Statement : Respect LGBTI+ Rights in EU-Türkiye Relations

14 November, 2023. LGBTI+ people and rights defenders in Türkiye are targeted with discrimination, hate speech and human rights violations. In light of the 2023 Enlargement Package published last week, and developments of the past few months signaling new areas of cooperation, respect for rule of law and human rights must remain at the core of European Union-Türkiye relations, said six international NGOs, including the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH), today.
