On 19 May 2025, the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) published a shadow report ahead of the review of Thailand’s eighth periodic report by the United Nations (UN) Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), which will take place on 19 June 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland.
The report, produced with the Thai Lawyers for Human Rights (TLHR) and Freedom Bridge, provides information on the following issues: 1) women in prison; 2) women human rights defenders (WHRDs); and 3) women’s political participation.
