On 7th August, over 100 organisations including the Observatory for the Protection of Human Rights Defenders, urged the Thai Pineapple Industry Association (TPIA) to take action for charges brought by its member Natural Fruit against Andy Hall to be dropped. Finnwatch researcher Andy Hall had contributed to a report exposing human rights abuse at one of Natural Fruit’s factories in the Prachuap Khiri Khan province. He is currently facing six criminal and civil charges.
