Iran: ICESCR raise concerns about labour rights

The Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (ICESCR) considered the second periodic report of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the implementation of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights at its 5th and 6th meetings, held on 1 May 2013.

In its concluding observations, adopted at its 28th meeting held on 17 May 2013, it made recommendations echoing FIDH concerns on the discrimination of ethnic and religious minorities, women’s rights, children’s rights, migrants’ rights, labour rights and poverty.
