The submission, jointly prepared with the Cambodian Human Rights and Development Association (ADHOC), documents the Cambodian government’s failure to implement key recommendations it received from various UN member states during Cambodia’s third UPR in 2019.
In particular, the joint submissions details the government’s failure to implement recommendations it accepted in the following areas: land grabbing and forced evictions; indigenous people; judicial independence; amendment of problematic legislation; democratic space; freedom of expression, freedom of association, and freedom of peaceful assembly; gender-based violence; and conditions of detention.
