4th Edition of the International Women’s Film Festival-Herat-IWFF opens in Kabul

FIDH is a supporter of the International Women’s Film Festival-Herat-IWFF, which is co-organised by its member organisation, Armanshahr Foundation/OPEN ASIA, and Roya Film House.

The International Women’s Film Festival is honored to invite you to the Opening Ceremony of the 4th edition of the “International Women’s Film Festival - Herat” taking place this year at the Gardens of Babur in Kabul.

More than 200 domestic and international films focusing on women’s issues have been submitted for consideration, a selection of which shall be screened during the Festival. Filmmakers, actors, women’s rights activists, Afghan and international jury members and cinema enthusiasts shall be present.

During this edition of the Festival, there will be a panel discussion on women’s rights with prestigious domestic and international women’s rights activists shall take part.

In addition to the opening and closing ceremonies, cultural programmes have been scheduled.
It is a pleasure to host you as a participant of the Festival.

Opening Ceremony: Wednesday, 19 October 2016, 5-7 pm
Venue: Gardens of Babur, Ghasr-e Malaka, Kabul

Film Screenings: 20-22 October 2016, 8 am – 5 pm
Venue: Gardens of Babur, Ghasr-e Malaka, Kabul

Closing Ceremony: Saturday, 22 October 2016, 5-7 pm
Venue: Continental Hotel, Kabul
