Aboubacry Mbodj dedicated his life to defending respect for human rights in all circumstances, denouncing the worst violations committed against deprived African populations, and demanding justice against arbitrariness and impunity in Senegal, his country, and everywhere else in Africa and in the world.

Aboubacry Mbodj spared no effort in his work to promote and protect human rights. His determination to act, his courage to denounce the violations and his consistency in accompanying the victims knew no borders.

Through Aboubacry Mbodj, RADDHO tirelessly campaigned for respect for human rights and fundamental freedoms in Senegal, but also to put an end to enforced disappearances and extra-judicial killings in the Gambia, slavery in Mauritania, looting and enforced displacement in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, or the occupation in Palestine. Under his leadership, RADDHO reinforced its action at the regional level and continued its recognized work of documentation and denunciation.
"The presence of Aboubacry did not go unnoticed as he led his fight with ardor. Before the ECOWAS, the African Union or the United Nations, he did not hesitate to remind political leaders of their responsibilities in the strongest terms.
