A judical investigation was opened on 14 March 2014 on the “30 September 2013 mutiny”, following the complaint lodged by FIDH and its Malian organisation AMDH. Mr. Moctar Mariko, who is the AMDH president and the victims’ lawyer, acknowledged this determination to promote acts of justice and judge the perpetrators of the crimes committed during the 2012 and 2013 Malian crisis.
In a report published on 20 March FIDH and AMDH analysed the achievements of the Malian judicial services in their legal proceedings against the alleged culprits and in a progress report on the fight against impunity spearheaded by the Malian authorities and the International Criminal Court.
