FIDH contributes to the indictment of Minister Moussa Tiegboro Camara for the massacre in Guinea, September 28, 2009

Impunity has been the rule in Guinea since the bloody repression of a peaceful demonstration on 28 September 2009.  This demonstration was held in protest against the putschist regime led by junta leader Moussa Dadis Camara.
FIDH and its member organisation, OGDH, who joined the criminal proceedings as “parties civiles” in support of the 67 victims of the massacre, have spared no effort in documenting the case.
In fact, Moussa Tiegboro Camara was charged while an FIDH judicial mission was in Guinea. There can be no doubt that the courts would not have sought to assign responsibility for these crimes amongst the upper echelon of power without this contribution
