On 11-12 April 2011, the European Union (EU) organized a seminar on ’Accountability and Justice’ in Pretoria, which brought together over 70 representatives of African and European Non-governmental organisations to discuss the achievements and challenges faced by the International Criminal Court and the international justice system.
FIDH has participated in the organisation of the seminar and attended as well as numerous representatives of its member organisations in Africa.
The NGO representatives present adopted the enclosed recommendations aimed at strengthening the fight against impunity for the most serious crimes that shock the conscience of humanity.
