The Coalition of Women with the Revolution marches in Egypt
International Women’s Day comes at a difficult time in the history of Egypt and its feminist movement, as Egyptian women continue to fight for their revolutionary demands and the values of justice, equality, freedom and dignity; overcoming repression, sexual violence and marginalization. This year the Coalition of Women from the Revolution will be organising several initiatives to gather support and raise awareness about women right’s in the country.

Saudi Arabia: Unfulfilled Promises
“The past few years have witnessed a series of promises by the Saudi authorities but reform is slow and symbolic announcements often remain unimplemented in practice,” said Saudi activists and FIDH in a statement released today, "The institutionalized guardianship system and the gender-segregation policy, root causes of daily violations of women’s rights, remain firmly in place".
