Report of the Regional Conference: "The Situation of Migrant Workers in Asia and the Arab Region"
The Conference on International Migration was organized in Doha with the National Human Rights Committee of the State of Qatar and in cooperation with the Bahrain Human Rights Society (BHRS) and the Bahrain Center for Human Rights (BCHR) on June 10th and 11th, 2007 and addressed the situation of migrant workers in Asia and the Arab region. The focus was on those two regions because both of them have become major hubs for migration, and movements of migrant workers between Asia and the Gulf states are significant.
