7 July 2022. Following a decision by the United States Supreme Court taking away the constitutional right to abortion, International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) joined the Center for Reproductive Rights and over 130 leading organisations, working to advance sexual and reproductive health and rights in across 32 European countries, in issuing a call to action. This message urges European leaders to support and protect reproductive rights and improve access to abortion care in national laws and policies. The organisations call on decision makers across the continent to remove the remaining legal and policy barriers inhibiting access to abortion.
