FIDH (International Federation for Human Rights) is an international human rights NGO. Since 1922, we have been committed to the defence of all civil, political, economic, social and cultural rights as defined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

We are a federation of 192 national human rights organisations active in 117 countries. We believe that the transformation of societies is first and foremost the responsibility of local actors. Our activities aim to strengthen their capacity for action and their influence.

The International Secretariat of the FIDH is a human-sized organisation (45 employees in Paris and 14 employees in several offices abroad) and is composed of a committed international team. Our Paris office is located in a lively and central area of Paris (near Bastille and Gare de Lyon).

The IT department, composed of 2 people with you, is integrated into the HR & Tech department and under the supervision of the Human Resources Director. We are looking for a :


Your main responsibilities

A. Define the strategy for the information system and data security. Consolidate an annual plan for the development and adaptation of the IS to the objectives and needs. Provide advice to the various business lines and provide methodological support. Ensure reporting and evaluation of activities. Establish and monitor the IT department budget.
B. Manage the computer and telephone equipment and ensure their support, in France and in the delegations abroad. Train and support users. Ensure technological watch and propose evolutions.
C. Manage networks and telecommunications systems (telephone, video, Signal, etc.) : ensure the proper functioning, availability and security of IS elements and services hosted by service providers. Ensure technological watch and propose evolutions.
D. Manage relationships with suppliers and external service providers in the context of IS activity and projects. Manage IT purchases.
E. Managing IT projects : setting up a website for the Centenary, a platform for national member organisations, redesign of the FIDH website.
F. Manage the support technician and network administrator : supervise, organize, monitor and evaluate their work.

Profile required
• You have 8 years of professional experience in a similar position. You are a generalist with a good command of systems (mostly Linux), networks, security and operations.
• You have a solid technical background in IT, telephony and networks. LAN, WAN, VPN and Cloud technologies hold no secrets for you.
• You have worked on CRM implementation, process harmonisation and IT security. To carry out these projects, you will provide methodological support for deployment and manage the allocation of technical resources (both in-house and with service providers). You will be responsible for the implementation of the projects, supervising their implementation from the design phase to delivery, ensuring the training and support of the users. You have experience in developing cross-functional projects.
• Excellent organization and management of priorities. You are a good teacher. You know how to write processes and report on your work.
• You have a good command of written and spoken English (B2 level).
• Mastery of the following environment :
- user machines under Ubuntu and Windows ;
- server park under LINUX (DEBIAN / CENTOS).

Terms and conditions of pay
Permanent contract. Executive status (Cadre). Position based in Paris, telecommuting possible with a minimum of 4 days face-to-face per month. Salary of 48 K€ gross per year over 13 months. 24 days RTT per year. Supplementary health insurance covered at 80% by the FIDH. Restaurant vouchers with a face value of €9, paid for at 60% by the FIDH. 50% of the cost of public transport passes paid for.
