The International Secretariat of the FIDH is a human-sized organisation with a committed international team (49 employees in France, 20 employees in several offices abroad (Belgium, Geneva, The Hague, Bangkok, Tunis). Our Paris office is located in a lively and central area of Paris (near Bastille and Gare de Lyon).

We are recruiting : A SENIOR ACCOUNTANT (M/F) ON CONTRACT 12 months

Under the hierarchical responsibility of the Accounting Manager, within a department composed of 3 employees with you (1 accounting manager, 2 accountants), your main responsibilities, in order to cope with an increase in activity, are the following:

• Participate in general, auxiliary and analytical accounting: coding and inputting of invoices, bank transfers and follow-up, recording of bank transactions and payroll entries, bank reconciliations, filing.
• Participate in the recording and control of the accounting operations of the foreign offices: verification of the accounts and analytical allocations, control of cash balances (bank reconciliations, cash inventories, etc.), integration of accounting entries, interface with the accountants or managers of these offices, filing.
• Other responsibilities: participation in the preparation of the balance sheet and interim statements, analysis of accounts, control of social security and tax accounts, management and follow-up of member organisations’ contributions, participation in the improvement of procedures and automation of tools.

Profile required
• BTS/DUT in accounting and management, or a BEP to Bac professional education with experience in accounting.
• You must have 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a similar position. Experience in associations is an asset.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel (pivot table) is essential.
• Mastery of the principles of general accounting.
• Knowledge of general accounting software. Knowledge and practice of ERP Agresso is appreciated.
• You are organised, rigorous, conscientious and have a good sense of synthesis.
• You have good interpersonal skills. You enjoy teamwork and are able to propose solutions or improvements.
• You are able to prioritise and plan your activities. You are able to adapt to urgent situations and to a wide range of contacts and information channels.
• English (level B1 on the European scale) and French (level C1) are required.

Conditions of use
• 12 month fixed-term contract. Position based in Paris.
• Salary: from €31.9K gross per year over 13 months, depending on experience.
• Teleworking possible with a minimum of 4 face-to-face days per month.
• 25 days of paid holiday and 24 days of RTT per year.
• Supplementary health insurance: employer’s contribution of €85 per month.
• Restaurant vouchers with a face value of €9, 60% of which is paid by the FIDH.
• 50% of the cost of public transport passes is covered.
