The International Secretariat of the FIDH is a human-sized organisation with a committed international team (49 employees in France, 20 employees in several offices abroad (Belgium, Geneva, The Hague, Bangkok, Tunis). Our Paris office is located in a lively and central area of Paris (near Bastille and Gare de Lyon).

We are recruiting: ONE ADMINISTRATIVE AND FINANCIAL MANAGER

We are currently looking for a Financial Manager to join our team of 10 employees. You will be responsible for the development and monitoring of the financial strategy and the application of internal control procedures.

Your main tasks are as follows:

- Supervise the management control

To elaborate, monitor and ensure the revision of the annual and multi-annual budget of the FIDH,
Control and validate the budgets and financial reports of the specific action programmes elaborated by the operational management control, Control and validate the budgets and reports for the core-funding donors.

- Supervise the general, auxiliary and analytical accounting and monitor the treasury
Check and validate by sampling the correct data entry and analytical allocation carried out by the accounting department, Analyse the general ledger with the Accounting Manager and participate in the inventory and closing entries, Check the cash flow monitoring and ensure the relationship with the banks.

- Guarantee the reliability of the association’s accounts and the production of accounting and financial documents in accordance with the legislation
Supervise the financial situation and report on it, Supervise the quarterly closings and the annual accounts (balance sheet, profit and loss account, appendix) in relation to and with the support of the chartered accountant, Be the auditor’s referent during his missions,
To provide the Executive General Management, the Treasurer, the Executive Board and the International Board with the accounting and financial information and the management charts necessary for steering and decision-making.

- To ensure internal control
To monitor and improve the internal control procedures , To participate in the structuring of the management system with the continuous development of the management software package , To train and accompany the various users to these tools.

- Supervise the administrative and financial management of foreign offices

- Supervise the information systems
Supervise the person in charge of the information system for the management of the FIDH’s computer equipment (needs assessments, inventories, budgets and reporting) and equipment (printing and telephony), Supervise the follow-up and prioritisation of the action plan, Supervise the elaboration and follow-up of the budget

- Manage the Finance and IS teams
Leading the team: creating and providing spaces for sharing information, reporting problems and making proposals for resolving difficulties, training the team, supervising, evaluating and monitoring their work.

Required profile
Higher education in management and accounting (Master’s degree, DCG, DSCG, Business school)
10 years experience in a similar position at the time of taking up the post - Experience in an NGO essential

Mastery of one or more management software and office automation tools
Fluency in French, and professional practice (written and oral) in English. Knowledge of a third language is appreciated.

Conditions of employment
Full time permanent contract Position based in Paris 11e

- Remuneration: from 58K€ gross per year over 13 months,
- Telecommuting possible with a minimum of 4 days of face-to-face work per month.
- 24 days of RTT per year
- Supplementary health insurance: employer’s contribution of €85 per month.
- Meal vouchers with a face value of €9, 60% paid by the FIDH.
- Sustainable mobility package or 50% of the cost of public transport passes.
