Round table on November 19 in Paris: LGBTI+ rights in Russia
On November 19, FIDH and IREX Europe will host seven LGBTI-rights activists and journalists from Russia to draw the world’s attention to the crackdown of the regime on LGBTI+ community. During a round table on November 19, they will discuss with representatives of the French government, civil society, media and the LGBTI + diaspora in France, recent developments in the field of LGBTI+ rights in Russia, including forced migration of the LGBTI+ individuals, fleeing the repressions, to Europe. The participants will explore new ways of covering these issues in media to ensure that LGBTI+ rights are respected.
