This brief followed an order on 12 February 2008 of the ECCC Pre-Trial Chamber inviting amicus curiae submissions on the issue of the rights of civil parties in the context of the ECCC Internal Rules, and in particular their rights to participate in proceedings dealing with appeals of detention orders.
