In December 2011, the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH), together with its member and partner organisations in Southeast Asia, wrote to the ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR) and made recommendations on engagement with civil society, transparency, and the proposed ASEAN Human Rights Declaration.
