BAHRAIN: EP renews call for Nabeel Rajab’s release
The resolution adopted on February 6, 2014 calls once more upon Bahrain to immediately and unconditionally release human rights defender Nabeel Rajab, President of the Bahrain Centre for Human Rights (BCHR) and Deputy Secretary General of FIDH.
This resolution relays many of FIDH recommendations and concerns, namely the continued denial by the authorities to free him despite his legal eligibility for early release.
FIDH operates a continuous campaign to secure the release of Nabeel Rajab, whose detention was recognised as arbitrary by the UN.
