The Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights (EIPR) files a complaint to the Public Prosecutor for an Immediate Investigation into the Murder of Dozens of Al-Qata Prison Inmates

The Egyptian Initiative for Personal Rights (EIPR), partner organization of FIDH in Egypt, is concerned about the fate of detainees unaccounted for since Jan. 28, after they fled. Acting on behalf of families of prisoners, EIPR filed on February 10, 2011 a complaint calling for an investigation into the massacre that occurred in the prison of Al Qata, near Cairo where 60 inmates would have been killed by guards during these incidents.
