The FIDH expresses its deep compassion to victims and their families.
The FIDH reiterates that nothing can, in any case, justify such
heinous crimes and in general any terrorist act, wherever perpetrated, in addition when targetting
civilian population.
The FIDH hopes that British authorities will effectively fulfill their
obligations to investigate and prosecute perpetrators of these crimes,
in full respect of the provisions of their human rights international obligations.
In line with the UN Secretary-General, the FIDH recalls that the respect for basic
human rights is the sine qua non condition of the admissibility as well as the
effectiveness of the fight against terrorism and prevention of these crimes.
